The Right Affiliation
Founded in 1964 by a group of attorneys who felt it was essential for their professional interests to be represented, IDC has grown to an association with over 1,000 members. We represent civil defense attorneys from firms big and small, from Chicago’s loop to far southern Illinois. We are dedicated to diversity, welcoming men and women of all ages, races and religions.

Leadership in IDC
Attacks on the civil trial system have made the practice of law more confusing and complex than ever before. IDC is uniquely positioned to support and lead members of the defense bar in an effective response to rapid changes proposed in the courts, or in the statehouse in Springfield. We are the only organization in the Land of Lincoln representing the special interests of civil defense trial attorneys.
IDC is leading the fight for balance and fairness in Illinois courts. IDC supports an aggressive Amicus Committee which regularly files briefs in appellate matters critical to the defense bar and the clients we represent.
