Peer Recognition
Being recognized by one’s peers is the ultimate compliment. Who, but your peers know better the effort that has been expended to ensure a job well done? IDC’s Awards of Excellence recognize the outstanding accomplishments of our members.

Awards Ceremony
Award recipients will be recognized at the IDC Awards Banquet. All nominees, firm colleagues as well as those who submit nomination forms are encouraged to attend to recognize the contribution that the recipient has made to the IDC and the practice of law.

In addition to being recognized at the Awards Banquet, all award recipients will be featured in the IDC Quarterly, Association Brief and on the IDC website. We will also alert local media outlets of the awards and their recipients.

Awards Selection
Any IDC member may submit nominations. Our selection committee will review the nomination forms for all nominees and will select a winner. The committee reserves the right to withhold an award in a category if no entry in that category merits recognition.

Distinguished Member Award

The time and energy that our Event Committee Chairs put into our events is staggering. IDC could not present quality educational programs without their tireless work. The President’s Commendation is presented in recognition and gratitude for the service of these individuals.

Volunteer of the Year
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the IDC. We could not publish the IDC Quarterly, present educational programs nor claim to be the Voice of the Defense Bar in Illinois without our volunteers.
